Quick Search is a list of 11 general-purpose, cross-disciplinary databases that can be searched simultaneously.  The idea is that for most topics, at least something useful will be found using Quick Search.  If you need something scholarly, try this before Google - you may be pleasantly surprised.

Here's a list of the databases being searched by Quick Search:
  • Academic OneFile
  • Academic Search Complete
  • ArticleFirst
  • Britannica Online Academic Edition
  • CPI.Q.
  • Credo Reference
  • Gale Virtual Reference Library
  • Google Scholar
  • PapersFirst
