How can I search for specific online resources / databases? I know the name of a database, how can I best find it? |
||||
This search engine recognizes stop words such as ('a','about','an','are','as','at','be','by','for','from','how','I','in','is','it','la','of',
'on','that','the','this','to','was','what','when','where','who','will','with') stop words will be ignored by a search unless the term is in quotes Examples: Boolean Searching is supported You can use AND, OR, or NOT, but not both AND & OR together (at present) Case does not matter. ie: biology AND chemistry ie biology OR chemistry but not: biology AND chemistry OR math ie: dictionary NOT religion By default, each search term has an implicit wildcard * at the end of each search term (except when used with quotes) ie: bio AND chem implicitly searches bio* AND chem* which will search for terms like: biological, biology etc. AND chemical, chemistry etc.. |
