UNDP is the UN’s global development network. UNDP helps developing countries attract and use aid effectively while promoting the protection of human rights and the enpowerment of women. This site is organized so that users can access information by individual country or region, by the Millennium Development Goals, or by the focus areas of democratic governance, poverty reduction, crisis prevention and recovery, HIV/AIDS, and energy and environment. Links are provided to other related UN information with much data and many publication available online.

Eldis is created by the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex, funded by Sida, NORAD, DFID and SDC. The site provides resource guides, full-text documents, country profiles and a newsfeed on 25 development-related topics.

Two-thirds of the WTO's member countries are developing nations. Here you can find the 2001 Doha Development Agenda as well as information on WTO committees, programs, and research around development issues.

The World Bank is a major player in world development. Not without its critics (see the World Bank Boycott site), it is active in all regions of the globe and with all aspects of development including education, health, economics, infrastructure, etc. The site contains many full-text documents, country profiles, and information on the World Bank's programs, research and projects.

Produced by the World Bank, this site contains links to useful data, special features, educational institutions, international agencies, and NGOs (though not to groups that have been critical of Bank policy). There is a real wealth of information here.
